Challenge 72 – Pear on a Branch

paint and draw together challenge 72
Welcome to our first challenge in our new PADT home. I am so excited and thrilled to see all the technology coming to life and working (fingers crossed) as expected.

Everybody is invited to join in as a free PADT member. Everybody is welcome to paint or draw the challenge, and post the image of the finished artwork within the next six weeks. And everybody is invited to comment on the posts or reply to comments from other PADT members, and simply have fun, and enjoy having an uplifting and encouraging conversation.

I would really love to see us artists talking to each other, learning, growing, and having fun together.

Please spread a word around, and ask your fans, friends and everybody who loves art to join in and have fun with us.

Personally, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your tremendous support during all those years on the blog (paintandtogether.blogspot.com), and thank you for your help in having a smooth transition to this new PADT home.

While we went through a very rigorous testing of the website, in case you experience any issue, please Contact me , and I would make sure the issue is resolved.

About the challenge

In this composition, since the light source is at the top left, all shadows are positioned on the opposite side from the light source. In this case, on the right side from the object. Please observe and pay attention to those shadows, they will be your best friend in creating a convincing image, where objects are related to each other, and together they sing the same voice, and tell the same story.

I also made a short YouTube video supporting this challenge, including a short preview of how I did it. I hope you like it. The link can be found below.

To participate in this challenge, please join in to www.paintanddrawtogether.com blog website and create a new post as a response to the current challenge, the latest by May 13, 2018. After that we will be having a new challenge.

Happy drawing and painting!

  • How to Register & Sign In

Option #1: If you have used "Sign in with Google" button to register the first time, you are welcome to continue using Google for future sign in also. Google does not send PADT website your password - so PADT in this case does not store any password for you.

I would recommend using this method as the best way to register and also to sign in to PADT.

Option #2: If after you have registered using "Sign in with Google" button - and then later you want to sign in directly - you will have to click on the "Forgot your password" link at the bottom of the login form which will send you a mail (with a link) to create a password for PADT website. You can choose a password (which can be different from your Google password), and you can use it to sign in directly in PADT website with your username/email and new password. However you will continue to have the ability to sign in with Google whenever you want.
