Stop and Smell the Flowers

#1173-snail-flower 600
Artist: Penny Stewart
Medium: mixed_media
Size: 2.5 x 3.5 inches

The snail and the flower became a message to me, to slow down and to move at a snail’s pace so you have time to stop and smell the flowers. Done with Alcohol Inks on the back of photo paper in a tiny miniature size, 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

  1. Penny, I love how you took the items in the photo and turned them into a new composition. Also I am very impressed with your ink painting as I have just started to try to do work with ink painting and am finding it very difficult. Also glad to see another painting and a lovely one as well. Liked your comments.

    • Thanks, Shirley! Alcohol inks are certainly a challenge! Good luck with your new medium. I find it makes a great deal of difference as to the surface you are working on. Ceramic tiles are really fun!

  2. The colors are as nice as your story!

  3. Dear Penny,
Your title was masterstroke, for your small masterpiece. I can see it as a wonderful illustration in a lifestyle magazine promoting health and well-being. Thank you for participating and sharing.

  4. Thanks for posting these photos for us to use. I enjoy doing the challenges very much.

  • How to Register & Sign In

Option #1: If you have used "Sign in with Google" button to register the first time, you are welcome to continue using Google for future sign in also. Google does not send PADT website your password - so PADT in this case does not store any password for you.

I would recommend using this method as the best way to register and also to sign in to PADT.

Option #2: If after you have registered using "Sign in with Google" button - and then later you want to sign in directly - you will have to click on the "Forgot your password" link at the bottom of the login form which will send you a mail (with a link) to create a password for PADT website. You can choose a password (which can be different from your Google password), and you can use it to sign in directly in PADT website with your username/email and new password. However you will continue to have the ability to sign in with Google whenever you want.
